Marking the centenary of Desmond Bagley, the bestselling thriller writer whose legacy I am lucky enough to be continuing, the paperback edition of Outback is published in the UK on October 26.

If you missed the hardback/ebook/audiobook release earlier this year, Outback is the ‘Desmond Bagley centenary thriller’, published by HarperCollins as a tribute to the master of the adventure thriller genre. It features Bill Kemp, Bagley’s protagonist from Domino Island, which I worked on to bring to publication back in 2019, and puts him in plenty of fresh peril in the great Australian wilderness.

There are a couple of centenary events taking place in Blackpool towards the end of the month (see separate Events listings) which are free and open to all. Bagley grew up in the town and developed his love of books at the Central Library, near his family’s home. It would be great to see you there if you’re in the vicinity.
